Basil Karlo (a.k.a. Clayface) is a villain from the Batman series. He used to be an actor, but he went crazy when one of his movies was remade with a different actor in the leading role. He then killed several of the movie crew, before he was stopped by the Batman and Robin.
In the Batman Animated Series he is actor whom has been an overdose of a mutagen chemical by Roland Daggett; his body is muted into a clay like substance. In the first cartoon he almost succeeds in killing Batman; in his last cartoon a woman who falls in love with him tries to reverse the mutation. At the end Clayface and Batman have a battle over a cliff; despite Batmans efforts Clayface drops into the sea and dissolves into nothingness...
