Cyclopsis was an evil War Zord used by Rita Repulsa and piloted by Goldar.
Cyclopsis was used by Rita to attack the Earth many centuries ago, before she was imprisoned in the space dumpster. After the sorceress was freed from her dumpster, Cyclopsis was eventually reawakened and used to attack Angel Grove. With Goldar at the controls, it proved able to easily battle the Megazord, the Dragonzord, and even Dragonzord Battle Mode. Seeing that the Rangers were in trouble, Zordon summoned Titanus, allowing them to form the Ultrazord. The Ultrazord's firepower was able to overwhelm Cyclopsis, though the War Zord's head survived. However it wasn't finished yet thanks to Rita summoning the dark being, Lokar, who rebuilt Cyclopsis, giving it wings and wrist-mounted swords. It reengaged the Megazord and Dragonzord, easily beating both and slicing off the Megazord's arm and part of the Dragonzord's tail. Cyclopsis had Lokar backing it up, making things even harder for the Power Rangers. However Alpha managed to find a weakness in the War Zord by linking into Rita Repulsa's computers. When faced with a new opponent, Cyclopsis had to adjust its systems to the new foe and too many changes would cause it to freeze up. With this information, the Power Rangers first attacked with their individual Zords with no effect, then formed the Megazord, which did not fare much better. They then summoned the Dragonzord, which succeeded in destroying Cyclopsis' wrist blades. The Rangers proceeded to form the Dragonzord Battle Mode, which had the advantage due to the War Zord being ready to freeze up. However Lokar intervened, forcing the Power Rangers to form the Ultrazord again before Cyclopsis could thrash the Dragonzord Battle Mode again. The War Zord could not handle this many changes and froze up again, leaving it helpless to the Ultrazord's final attack.
Cyclopsis is also the final boss in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers SNES game.
Powers and Abilities Edit
Cyclopsis possesses strength exceeding that of any of the Power Rangers' Megazords and has many built in weapons. These include missile batteries built below its neck, a powerful eye laser, and hands that can be fired, attached to cables, delivering electric shocks to the opponent. After being rebuilt by Lokar, Cyclopsis ceased using these weapons, relying solely on its wrist blades.
- Cyclopsis' counterpart in Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger, the Super Sentai series that Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers was originally based on, was Dora Talos.
